ATP Finals 2025: Alex de Minaur storms past Taylor Fritz for maiden victory in Turin

With the pressure on and the lights low, Alex de Minaur came up clutch at the 2025 ATP Finals on Thursday (13 November).

Anything but a straight-sets win would have sent the Australian home, and de Minaur answered with a complete 7-6(3), 6-3 victory against sixth seed Taylor Fritz.

The world No. 7 is on the verge of qualifying for the semi-finals of the year-end tennis finals in Turin, Italy, now relying on top seed Carlos Alcaraz to beat home hope Lorenzo Musetti. Nonetheless, it is his first career win at the ATP Finals in six attempts.
