DENVER, COLO.– The South Dakota Coyotes women's tennis team dropped a 6–1 road decision to Denver on Saturday afternoon at Denver Tennis Park in Denver, Colorado.Denver secured the early advantage by claiming the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. Claudia Martinez and Louise Wikander defeated Selena Bird and Ava Doddridge 6–2 at No. 2 doubles, while Natalie Cinkova and Zoe Adkins posted a 6–0 victory over Natalia Alves De Lima and Keta Shavishvili at No. 3. The No. 1 doubles match featuring Anna Medvyedyeva and Kayleigh Didderiens was left unfinished.In singles play, Denver quickly built momentum with straight-set victories at No. 4 and No. 6. Natalie Cinkova topped Cassy Marra 6–2, 6–1, while Yunfei Cai defeated Ava Doddridge 6–1, 6–2.The Coyotes' lone point came at the top of the lineup, where Selena Bird battled back after dropping the first set to defeat Louise Wikander 0–6, 7–5, 11–9 in a dramatic match tiebreak.Denver clinched the match with wins at No. 2, No. 5, and No. 3 singles.
