(February 28, 2026) – The University of North Alabama women's tennis team secured its seventh-straight win of the season after defeating Mississippi Valley State, 7-0, on Saturday from the UNA Tennis Courts.North Alabama (8-2) concluded the weekend a perfect 2-0 record after the victory over the debuting Devilettes (0-1). The Lions rolled in both singles and doubles en route to the home win.UNA completed the ultimate shutout — not giving up any points on any courts.Freshman Farah Asaad and senior Eeva Ristola began the dual with a 6-0 doubles win over Tori Carter and Alice Lensendoah from flight one. Juniors Mathilde Delaney and Emma Ansorge clinched the doubles portion with a 6-0 win over Nina Schiks and Lilly Gansauge from court two.Ristola continued on in singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win from court one over Gansauge. Delaney went 2-0 on the day after beating Carter from flight two, 6-0, 6-0. Junior Louise Booker secured the Lions' team win after beating Lensendoah from court three, 6-0, 6-0.The final played match saw freshman Sammie Schouten defeat Schiks from court four, 6-0, 6-0.
