No time slot, no problem: Here's when and how you can still buy LA28 tickets

1
The wait is over. Tickets for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles are officially on sale.

The LA & OKC Locals Presale ran from 2–6 April 2026, giving eligible fans in the Greater Los Angeles and Oklahoma City regions an exclusive early window to purchase tickets starting at $28. Drop 1, the first general public sale, follows from 9–19 April for fans worldwide who received a time slot through the LA28 Ticket Draw.

But what if you didn't register in time, or registered and didn't receive a time slot? The good news: this is just the beginning.

How the LA28 Ticket Draw works

LA28 built a draw-based ticketing system. Fans must register, which enters them into a random draw for a time slot – a designated window to access the ticketing platform and purchase available sessions. Stay tuned to the LA28 socials and newsletter for notifications about the next registration period.

Registration for the first draw opened on 14 January and closed on 18 March. Those selected received email notifications between 31 March and 7 April with their assigned time slot for either the Locals Presale or Drop 1.

During their window, fans can purchase up to 12 tickets across Olympic competitions and ceremonies, with no more than four tickets to each ceremony. An additional 12 tickets are available specifically for football (soccer) matches and do not count towards the general 12-ticket maximum.

What if you missed the first draw?

Worth noting: registration does not guarantee a time slot. Not everyone who signs up will be selected for a given drop, but they will be automatically entered into the draw for the next drop.

If you registered but didn't receive a time slot for this round, you don't need to do anything.

If you didn't register at all before the 18 March deadline, future registration windows will open ahead of subsequent drops. LA28 has confirmed that additional ticket draws will take place later this year, and specific dates will be announced in due course.

What do tickets cost?

Tickets start at $28 and go into the thousands. In recognition of Visa's long-standing partnership with the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Visa is the Official Way to Pay.

Accessible seating options can be found under "ticket types" within each seating category option on the ticketing platform.

What's still to come

Paralympic Games LA28 tickets will go on sale in 2027. A verified resale programme through AXS and Eventim – along with Ticketmaster and Sports Illustrated Tickets – will also launch in 2027 for fans looking to buy or sell on the secondary market.

For now, the best way to stay informed is to sign up for the LA28 newsletter at la28.org to be notified about registration for the next draw.*
