Men's Tennis Bumped to No. 15 in New ITA Poll

TEMPE, Ariz. – The UIndy men's tennis team moved up to fifteenth in the latest ITA National Poll, it was announced Wednesday, April 1.

The Greyhounds bumped up three spots from last week's poll, thanks to a dominant 6-1 win over Tiffin, who were ranked No. 18 at the time. Last week's win moved their record to 8-4, and was their fourth ranked-win of the season. UIndy also holds an unblemished 5-0 record against regional opponents, and are the highest ranked team in the Midwest in the latest poll publication.

Moving onto individual rankings, Asier Ayllon Prado was ranked inside the top-20 for the fourth consecutive week, cranking the list at No. 13. The sophomore holds a 17-4 record in singles play, with a pair of ranked wins. Tadeo Gaggiofatto was ranked No. 36, with two ranked wins and a 14-5 record. Vladislav Gorbatenko rounds UIndy's representation in singles, holding down the No. 70 spot.

Gaggiofatto and Zaid Shelbaya moved back into the top-50 of the rankings, sliding up to No. 46 following a 7-5 win over Romain Marionneau and Lorenzo Perucchini. Ayllon Prado and Mathieu Derache close the doubles listings at No. 48.

UIndy will compete against their sixth regional opponent on the road next Friday, April 3rd, against No. 16 Wayne State at 3 PM.
