Cbf Demands “Exemplary Punishment” for Prestianni Following Vinícius Incident

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has gone on the offensive. Following the alleged racial slurs directed at Vinícius Júnior during the Real Madrid vs. Benfica match, the Brazilian governing body has formally requested a thorough investigation and precedent-setting sanctions from both FIFA and UEFA.

Through official letters signed by its president, Samir Xaud, the CBF urged both entities to apply maximum rigor. The correspondence emphasizes the need to identify all parties responsible for the insults allegedly hurled by Argentina’s Gianluca Prestianni, according to the Madrid winger's report.

For his part, Prestianni has categorically denied the accusations on social media, claiming instead that he was the one receiving threats from Real Madrid players. The case now rests in the hands of European disciplinary committees.
