PCB Apologizes for Making Drastic Changes Ahead of PSL 11

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has apologized to cricket fans following changes to the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) schedule.

The PCB chief hosted a special ceremony in Lahore to honor all franchises participating in PSL 11. The event was attended by local and international players, along with several distinguished guests.

During the ceremony, Naqvi warmly welcomed both domestic and foreign cricketers. The official PSL 11 trophy was unveiled, while the league’s anthem was also launched.

Addressing the audience, Naqvi issued a heartfelt apology to cricket fans, saying that national interest must always come first. He explained that the decision to revise and limit PSL 11 was taken in light of the prevailing situation in the region.

He expressed confidence that the current sacrifices would lead to better outcomes in the future, adding that the Pakistan Super League has grown into a top international brand and efforts will continue to elevate its global stature.

The event was attended by key government figures, including Muhammad Aurangzeb, Attaullah Tarar, Salik Hussain, Ali Pervaiz Malik, Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Provincial Ministers Shafay Hussain and Talha Burki, Attorney General Mansoor Awan, and former federal minister Gohar Ejaz.

Franchise owners, the head coach of the national team, all squad members, and international players signed for PSL 11 also attended the ceremony.
