The consistent chopping and changing of managers at Chelsea is surely going to be having an effect on the players at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues made the decision to replace Enzo Maresca as head coach on New Year’s Day, becoming the first Premier League manager to lose his job on the first day of the year.

He has been replaced by Liam Rosenior, whose winning start quickly came to an end at the hands of Arsenal in the EFL Cup semi-final first leg.

Do Chelsea still have a chance of reaching the final? 🤔

Plenty of positives, plenty of negatives…

Chelsea pushed hard to stay in the tie with Alejandro Garnacho’s brace off the bench, especially without a number of key players such as Cole Palmer, Moises Caicedo and Reece James.

Enzo Fernandez not happy with Enzo Maresca’s departure from Chelsea

The absence of a number of their best players saw extra responsibility on the likes of Enzo Fernandez, who was particularly important in the build-up to the first goal.

The World Cup winner has now featured under seven permanent and temporary managers at Stamford Bridge since his move in 2023, and it appears this fact is becoming frustrating for the player to deal with.

As per a report from L’Equipe, Fernandez has been left unhappy with the most recent managerial change, leaving him weighing up his future at the club.

The piece goes on to say that PSG are emerging as a potential landing spot for the midfielder, with a potential move possible in the summer.

Rosenior already a massive fan of Fernandez

Fernandez scored off the bench in the FA Cup win over Charlton, before performing well in the heart of midfield against the Gunners.

Should Chelsea sell Enzo Fernandez to buy Elliot Anderson?

Rosenior told Football London after the defeat that he believed Fernandez was ‘outstanding’ against Arsenal.

He said: “I’m never happy to lose a game of football, of course, but I saw an energy of determination and intensity. I felt Enzo Fernandez was outstanding in midfield with Andrey Santos.”
