At just 22 years old, Alcaraz continues to lead the new generation of tennis, and his triumph in Melbourne confirms his status as one of the sport’s dominant forces.

With the Australian Open title, Alcaraz now owns seven Grand Slam trophies and is the second active player with the most Grand Slam titles, behind Novak Djokovic.

Following his victory in Melbourne, Alcaraz climbed to 13,650 ATP ranking points, opening a 3,350-point gap over Jannik Sinner, who was defending last year’s title.

The Spaniard is set to remain world No. 1 for the coming months, while Sinner will be able to add points throughout 2025 after missing early events due to a three-month suspension.
