What Alejandro Garnacho has been spotted doing in Chelsea training is all too familiar for Man Utd

Alejandro Garnacho left Manchester United over the summer and is now competing to become a regular starter at Chelsea.

The 21-year-old is yet to play a full 90 minutes for Chelsea in any competition this season after deciding to leave Manchester United.

Recently, Alejandro Garnacho explained why he left United, insisting he found his final season at Old Trafford “difficult” because of the need to adapt to Ruben Amorim’s style of play.

Ultimately, Garnacho’s criticism of Amorim after the Europa League final was the turning point that led to his exit. The young winger was frustrated at being left out and lashed out at Amorim’s decision-making.

Garnacho was told to find a new club, and a permanent move to Chelsea followed suit.

Alejandro Garnacho staying behind at Chelsea training

It is ironic that Garnacho left United after complaining that he was left out of the starting XI, and yet this season he has played less than 400 minutes of football.

Garnacho is struggling to make an impact at Chelsea, but it seems he is trying to turn things around at their Cobham training ground.

According to GiveMeSport, Garnacho has impressed Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca by staying behind after training for extra drills.

It is reported that staff have been “encouraged by Garnacho’s attitude and intensity” in training.

It is very different to his time at United where Garnacho was blasted for his attitude.

Alejandro Garnacho’s training facade at Man United

Ultimately, United fans are glad to see the back of Garnacho having grown tired of his tantrums and attitude issues.

It is a shame that a promising Carrington graduate, and a player tipped to follow Cristiano Ronaldo, ended his United career in such a poor manner.

The reports about Garnacho doing extra training at Chelsea will not make United fans have any second thoughts – they have seen it all before.

Garnacho trained well at United, and often went the extra mile to improve himself. But it didn’t outweigh his attitude and work rate problems on the pitch.

Amorim made the decision to axe Garnacho from his squad last season. It is often forgotten that Garnacho was dropped against Manchester City at the same time as Marcus Rashford was last season.

United won’t look back with any regrets on selling Garnacho.
