Campbell shakes up ISU coaching staff

Iowa State football has announced changes to its coaching staff.The program parted ways with offensive coordinator Tom Manning and Director of strength and conditioning Dave Andrews. ESPN's Adam Rittenberg was the first to report the news on Friday morning.Manning served as the program’s offensive coordinator/offensive line coach from 2016-17 before working in the NFL for a season. He then returned to Iowa State in 2019 as offensive coordinator/running game coordinator.Manning was ISU's coaching staff for all but one of head coach Matt Campbell's seven seasons.Andrews had served as strength coach for ISU for the past three seasons.Campbell released the following statement:“Decisions such as these are never easy because of the impact they have on the lives of individuals and their families, however, in order for us to move the program forward, I felt it necessary to make these changes at this time."Tom and Dave are tremendous men who have had a hand in our success over the last few years, and we wish them and their families all the best in the future.” Iowa State finished with a 4-8 record this season, 1-8 in Big 12 play, while having statistically the worst scoring offense in the conference.

Campbell released the following statement:
