Football Queensland’s NPL Women’s Magic Round will return to Nudgee Recreation Reserve for two unmissable days of action as part of 2026 Female Football Week celebrations following the success of the inaugural event held last year.

The skills of the state’s best female footballers will be on display on Friday, 8 May and Saturday, 9 May, with the action-packed event to feature five NPL Women’s Round 13 clashes alongside a Girls United Junior Carnival and girls-only referee event in addition to other family-friendly activations.

“Football Queensland is delighted to announce the return of the NPL Women’s Magic Round at Nudgee Recreation Reserve for the 2026 season as we continue elevating our state’s premier competitions and enhancing the match day experience for football fans,” said Slater Asnicar, FQ General Manager – Leagues and Officials.

“NPL Women’s Magic Round presents a fantastic opportunity for our football community to witness the talent of our state’s best female players and match officials as Female Football Week celebrations kick off across the country, with plenty of opportunities to also get involved in other FQ activations and clinics being run including a Girls United Junior Carnival.

“With interest in our NPL Queensland competitions continuing to grow every year, NPL Women’s Magic Round is the perfect occasion to celebrate the continual growth of the women’s game, and we encourage members of our football community to take advantage of the chance to join in the celebrations across the weekend.”
